During the pullback maneuver, the thrombus is compressed (D) and subsequently a small fragment (asterisk) remains in the ICA, while a large part of the thrombus is removed (E). The device passes the thrombus at the tip of the 7F guiding catheter and loses this fragment. A small residual fragment is retrieved by the device (E).
