Cerebral MR was performed in three patients with Sjogren-Larsson syndrome. In each case, a 1.5-T system was used, and the patient was under general anesthesia. The MR findings included confluent hyperintense white matter lesions in the periventricular and deep white matter of the centrum semiovale, with sparing of the subcortical U fibers. The topography of the white matter abnormalities correlated well with the clinical signs and symptoms.
