The mass has lower attenuation centrally, and the borders are ill defined. The thyroarytenoid gap is widened, and the mass extends posteriorly toward the right pyriform sinus. B, CT with bone algorithm at a slightly lower level shows erosion of the cricoid cartilage (arrows). The scattered locules of air are from a recent tracheostomy.
