Fig 3. Coronal 18F-FDG PET (A) and corresponding 3D volume-rendered PET-CT (B) fusion images demonstrate moderately increased FDG activity confined to the right carotid bifurcation. Maximum standardized uptake value is 6.2 compared with 3.1 on the contralateral carotid artery. No other abnormal vascular FDG activity is identified to suggest a systemic vasculitis.
