Fig 1. A, Diffusion-weighted image (TR, 10 seconds; TE, 94.5 milliseconds; b, 1000 s/mm2) shows much higher signal intensity in the left optic nerve compared with the right. B, ADC image shows decreased signal intensity in the left optic nerve proving that the higher signal intensity in the left optic nerve on DWI is due to restriction in water diffusion.
