My colleagues and I appreciate the comments of Albayram and colleagues and will take their suggestions into consideration as I refine the diagnostic criteria for spontaneous spinal CSF leaks and intracranial hypotension.1 Of note, the main characteristic for criterion B is the result of brain imaging, whereas spinal meningeal diverticulum and results of epidural blood patching are secondary characteristics.
