Fig 5. Relationship of T1w signal intensity to mean diffusivity (MD) and fractional anisotropy (FA) in the genu, splenium,
and left corticospinal tract (n = 47). In the central genu (0), T1w signal intensity was not significantly correlated with
MD except in the cortical region of the splenium (r2 = 0.1602, P = .0053; all other regions, P > .05). T1w signal intensity
was not significantly correlated with FA in any region (P >.05 for each region.
- Online Supplement Figure 6 - Fig 6. Relationship of T2w signal intensity to MD and FA in the genu, splenium, and left corticospinal tract (n = 47). In the genu, T2w signal intensity was significantly correlated with MD in both the central (r2 = 0.5025; P < .0001) and cortical (r2 = 0.7819; P < .0001) regions; T2w signal intensity was significantly correlated with FA in both the central (r2 = 0.3455; P < .0001) and cortical (r2 = 0.6122; P < .0001) regions. In the splenium, T2w signal intensity was significantly correlated with MD in both the central (r2 = 0.4243; P < .0001) and cortical (r2 = 0.4197; P < .0001) regions; T2w signal intensity was significantly correlated with FA in both the central (r2 = 0.2648; P = .0002) and cortical (r2 = 0.1145; P = .0200) regions. In the left corticospinal tract, T2w signal intensity was significantly correlated with MD in both the central (r2 = 0.4721; P < .0001) and cortical (r2 = 0.7677; P < .0001) regions; T2w signal intensity was significantly correlated with FA in both the central (r2 = 0.2701; P = .0002) and cortical (r2 = 0.46565; P <_.0001 regions.--="regions.--" end="end" desc="desc" dc1="dc1" _2="_2" _--="_--">
