Axial DWI (A), ADC map (B), and FLAIR (C) and coronal T2 (D) show hyperintensity in the medial temporal regions bilaterally, but more pronounced on the left, and additional involvement of the superior temporal and insular cortex. There is no restricted diffusion. Follow-up after 2 weeks (E,F) demonstrates marked atrophy of the involved regions.
