An 86-year-old woman presented with generalized tonic-clonic seizures. Her past history included similar convulsive episodes, along with waxing/waning mental status changes during the last year. She had a nonfocal neurological examination and was oriented x0. Blood tests were unremarkable, and CSF was abnormal with raised protein.
