Axial T2WI (A) demonstrates atrophy of the pons, middle cerebellar peduncles and cerebellum. Axial T2WI (B) demonstrates loss of transverse pontocerebellar fibers and pontine neurons in the median raphe resulting in a hot-cross bun appearance. Sagittal T1WI (C) demonstrates cerebellar atrophy, and flattening of the ventral aspect of the pons.
