Sarcoidosis
- Clinical CNS involvement: 5%; CNS involvement at autopsy: 15-25% (epitheloid non casseating granulomas)
- Common sites of ophthalmogic involvement: anterior uvea (85%), lacrimal gland, optic nerves/sheaths, eyelids, extra-ocular muscles, bones
- Salivary gland involvement: generally affects major glands, occurs in 0.5-15% of patients; when uveas and parotids are involved: Heertfordt's syndrome
