Pontine tegmental cap dysplasia is a congenital anomaly characterized by a flattened ventral pons and dorsal projecting white matter cap (A, yellow arrow), hypoplastic cerebellar vermis (A, red arrow), absence of bilateral CN VIII (B), and absence of the right CN VII (C, arrow), which are best illustrated by T2-/T1-weighted FIESTA imaging using 1 mm slice thickness.
