Glomus jugulare paraganglioma (GJP) is a benign tumor arising from neural crest progenitor crest cells (glomus bodies) located in and around the jugular foramen. Clinical symptoms can be insidious and range from pulsatile tinnitus to hearing loss. The typical CT imaging finding is permeative-destructive jugular foramen at the margin (arrows in A). On MRI, the tumor is hyperintense, with "salt-and-pepper" vascular flow-voids (arrows in B). Postcontrast T1WI shows strong enhancement of the tumor (arrows in C). Radiosurgery may be used as the primary therapy.
