Diagnostic criteria for the diagnosis of NMO

| Optic neuritis |
| Acute myelitis |
| At least 2 of the following 3 supportive criteria: |
| Contiguous spinal cord MRI lesion extending over at least 3 vertebral segments |
| Onset brain MRI not meeting the diagnostic criteria for MS |
| NMO-IgG seropositivity status |
