The Second European Course on Pediatric Neuroradiology was held in the beautiful town of Rapallo in the Italian Riviera. The course committee was chaired by Dr. Paolo Tortori-Donati from the G. Gaslini Children's Research Hospital in Genova. The course faculty comprised 24 internationally recognized experts on pediatric neuroimaging. On the first day, lectures covered brain malformations and tumors, with adequate emphasis on MR spectroscopy. On the second day, cerebrovascular diseases (including the utility of diffusion-weighted imaging), infections, and metabolic disorders were covered. The third day included a variety of topics such as phakomatoses, skull base, MR angiography, trauma, spinal malformations, epilepsy, and functional MR imaging. Early morning workshops and magisterial lectures on hydrocephalus and the corpus callosum were also given. There were approximately 120 attendants, mostly from the European countries.

The meeting was held at the Congress Centre Exelsior Palace Hotel in a beautiful room facing the Mediterranean Sea. The atmosphere was cordial and allowed for the exchange of ideas, particularly on such “hot” topics as fetal imaging. The faculty was treated to wonderful evening social events and meals.
