J. Neuroradiol.2004 May 01; 25 AB - Summary: We describe hamartomas of possible thalamic origin. CT revealed marked calcification in the mass lesion, and MR imaging revealed contrast enhancement. Histologically, outgrowth of the glia was observed, but no neoplastic component was confirmed. Immunohistochemical staining was positive for the cell-adhesion factor N-CAM and negative for polysialic acid.
