Each fistula had a small arteriovenous communication that prevented the use of detachable balloons. Endovascular transarterial treatment of these two iatrogenic fistulas with electrically detachable platinum coils was performed. Both fistulas were occluded with preservation of the parent artery, and the patients have fully recovered.
