Summary

Neuroradiologic findings of 27 cases of “multiple progressive intracranial arterial occlusion (Taveras)” are reported. The cause of stenotic process remains uncertain, but the disease in all probability is an acquired one and not a congenital dysplasia. Narrowing of the cervical internal carotid artery is secondary to a decreased blood flow. Deep central vascular network represents extraordinarily developed collateral channels.
