The association between 11C-methionine uptake, IDH gene mutation, and MGMT promoter methylation in patients with grade II and III gliomas
2020, Clinical RadiologyCitation Excerpt :PET images were obtained using a SET-3000 GCT/X scanner (Shimadzu, Kyoto, Japan) with gadolinium oxyorthosilicate crystals as emission detectors. The 11C-methionine tracer was synthesised in accordance with the method described by Berger et al.25 and injected intravenously at a dose of 111–222 mBq (3–6 mCi). Tracer accumulation was recorded over 15 minutes in 99 transaxial sections spanning the entire brain.
Production of [ 11 C]Formaldehyde by the XeF <inf>2</inf> mediated oxidation of [ 11 C]Methanol and its application in the labeling of α-(N-[ 11 C]Methylamino)isobutyric acid
2019, Applied Radiation and IsotopesCitation Excerpt :[11C]Formaldehyde is a versatile and approved tool in carbon-11 radiopharmaceutical chemistry including ring closure reactions (Nader et al., 1998; Roeda and Dollé, 2003; Van der Mey et al., 2001, 2006; Hooker et al., 2008), electrophilic aromatic substitution (Langer et al., 2005), hydroxymethalation (Aronstein, 1949), Mannich reaction (Berger et al., 1979), and reductive methylation (Straatmann and Welch, 1975; Marazano et al., 1977; Maziére et al., 1977; Mulholland et al., 1988).

2016, Bioorganic and Medicinal Chemistry Letters11C-methinine uptake correlates with MGMT promoter methylation in nonenhancing gliomas
2014, Clinical Neurology and NeurosurgeryCitation Excerpt :PET images were obtained using a SET-3000 GCT/X scanner (Shimadzu Corp.) with gadolinium oxyorthosilicate crystals as emission detectors. 11C-methionine tracer was synthesized according to the method described by Berger et al.
